Tip #1 -Eliminating the False Offers

Advertisements for 1 Cent a minute for International Calling are not usually a real offer.

Tip #2 – Connection  or Disconnections Charges

The most common charges are connection and disconnection charges; these charges can range from 10 cents to a few dollars just for connecting or disconnecting a call. So always check the “more information” or “more detail” links to see what the other charges there are.

Tip #3 – Other Hidden Charges

Monthly, weekly service fees, or maintenance fees are other hidden fees that can be found in some Calling Cards. These fees can use up balance without you even making a call.

Tip #4 – Billing Increments

Look for what the cards bill you at whether it is per second, per minute, per 3 minutes, and even per 5 minutes. This means if you make a 1 minute call with a card that bills in increments of 3 minutes, you would get charged for 2 extra minutes. So look for Calling Cards that bill per minute or per second.

Tip #5 – Do Calling Cards Expire?

Some cards do expire and when they do, what ever is left on the card is lost. So look for cards that never expire or Calling Cards you can recharge.

Tip #6 – Added Features

There are some Calling Cards that offer extra features besides their calling service. Account management, speed dial, voicemail, and more. This can be a sign it is a solid product.
