~List your itinerary. After doing some research on where to go and what to do, jot them down and have the list with you at all times. ~Travel light. Avoid bulky luggage. It will be easier for you to move around and check in and out of airport and hotels without having to worry about your luggage.

~Stay connected. Get a cheap international calling card to let your family, friends, or even boss, know where you are and how you’re doing. A card may come in handy in emergencies.
